Guardian Homes for Labradoodle Puppies
We believe all dogs should be loved and treated as members of the family. Since we can only have a few dogs living with us and still give them all the love and attention they deserve, we have the rest of our breeding dogs in carefully selected Guardian Homes. The dogs living in Guardian Homes are pet dogs loved like all dogs should be.
We choose the pick of the litter in terms of temperament and conformation. Then we pay for all necessary health tests to make sure the dog is suitable for our breeding program. If we determine she is not suitable to have puppies for us we will spay her and she will stay with you as your family pet. If she does well on all her testing, and we think she would be a good breeding dog for us, she will come back to us to have three litters of puppies. She stays with us for about 6 weeks to have her babies and take care of them. After her three litters we have her spayed and she will forever live with you as your family pet. The cost to be a Guardian Family is $2000. After each litter we pay you $500. For male puppies, the dog must be left intact until he is 5 years of age. The dog comes to stay with us for about a week while breeding with the female. The intact male must be very well socialized and comfortable in new situations so he is comfortable coming to stay with us. We love frequent visits to stay in contact! Again, the cost to be a Guardian Family to a male puppy is $2000. After each breeding we pay you $100. We do have some strict requirements for our Guardian Homes. You must live within 1.5 hours drive from our home in Chilliwack (between Hope and Vancouver is ideal). You must be willing to always stay in touch with us. You must have a safely fenced yard. There must be a stay at home family member to take care of the dog. You must do at least one round of a basic obedience class with your puppy, preferably more. All vaccinations (or titer testing) must be kept up to date and the dog must always be fed a high quality dog food, approved by us. It is crucial that our Guardian Dogs are well socialized and comfortable in new situations and with new people. If this is something that interests you please let us know. We welcome all questions! |
